    2009

This polyphonic family of objects has the limited duration of its exhibition period. The different kinds of rulers balancing on each other and on the room’s architectural features lose their rigidity and become curves. The title of the work describes the subject and material of the installation while suggesting an analogy to other hierarchical forms of scaling and structural organization.
At the end of the exhibition, the objects are returned to their owners and regain their original functional character. The non-permanent nature of the installation contradicts the posse ssive character of a collection and attaches the work to its exhibition space.
